Oily skin looks shiny very easily, with some already after few hours after applying make up. Normally the pores are also quite big and visible. You might be surprised when we say that oily skin might be lacking on moisture. Symptoms for topically dry skin are often caused by too harsh cleansers and incorrect skincare routines. The causes for oily skin might be exactly the same which causes exessive sebum production.
Oily skin has three challenges that need your attention:
1) Sebum production 2) Pore size 3) Impurities/breakouts
You want to clean the skin with cleansing milk or oil. For example castor oil is great when you have impurities. You can combine the cleansing product with a lightly peeling product such as Olivia Klein deep peeling powder. Avoid all kind of foaming clenasers and soaps because these cause the skin to produce even more oil!
Choose for the toner/hydrosol a product that is antiseptic and balances the sebum production. Moisturize your skin with a light fluid in the morning time. You also want to use an oil suitable for oily skin. For example argan and jojoba are great options. This oil you should use also in the evening. This will control the sebum production. Avoid waxes and oils that are comedogenic. Shea butter on the other hand is a great ingredient as it will not clog your pores.
