Dry skin should not be confused with skin that is only topically dry. Skin that is only topically dry is not a fysiological skin type. It's a temporary condition of the skin due to too harsh cleansing, incorrect moisturizing (both internally and extrenally) or otherwise incorrect skincare routines or poor lifestyle choises such as smoking, drinking too much alcohol or beeing stressed out. Skin that is dry topically is specially low on moisture where as dry skin is low on fatty acids and moisture. Topical dryness can appear on all skin types and it is usually just a temporary state.
Topically dry skin should be cleaned by using cleansing milks and balms or oily skin cleansing products. For peeling you want to choose mild entsymatic peels instead of scrub-like peeling products. Also always remember to use a toner or facial water! You want to spray the toner/facial water on clean skin and apply a moisturizing product while the skin is still wet. Moisturize your skin by using products that have moisture binding ingredients such as hyalorinic acid, sea weed and honey.
Remember to moisturize your skin also internally. Eat good quality fatty acids such as Omega 3 fatty acids which you can get for example for Chia seeds. You can also treat your skin with other good fatty acids such as Coconut Oil or Ghee. Don't forget to drink enough water. That is absolutely essential for everybody but especially when your skin is topically dry.
